GDIA（Genuine Dhamma International Association）は、
草薙龍瞬と現地の青年たちが立ち上げた、インド社会を改善する活動をするNGOです。
幼稚園・小学校も同時に運営しています。学園では180名ほどの子供たち（３歳半から11歳）が学んでいます。
2008年に創立して以来、16年にわたり活動してきています。NGOおよび学園ともインド政府の認可済みです。

私たちの強みは、現地仏教徒の広いネットワークです。農村から州政府および中央政府まで幅広い人脈を持っています。
そうしたネットワークを活かして、JICA（日本国際協力機構）プロジェクトの現地アドバイザーを務めたこともあります。
インドは、外国の企業・団体が進出・展開するには、かなり難しい面があります。法規制の問題もありますが、最大の原因は”人間”です。日本の常識・価値観がまったく通用しないことがしばしばです。
私たちの組織が他とは違うのは、主要メンバーおよび地域住民の多くが”仏教徒”であることです。教育水準が高く、勤勉であり、社会階層による差別を経験してきているため社会を改善しようというモチベーションが高い人々です。
中でも、日本人である草薙龍瞬と活動を共にしてきた現地青年たちは、人間性及び行動力において卓越した面を多く有しています。
16年にわたり地道に、しかし途絶えることなく活動し続けてきたことが、その事実を裏づけているものと思ってくださって差し支えありません。
日本に伝わってくる情報と、現地での実情は、かけ離れていることが多いものです。
現地で長く暮らして、人々の姿を理解しないと、実情はわからないものです。

By sharing the Essence of the Buddha’s Teachings.
DEFINITION
＊Genuine Dhamma means The Essence of the Buddha’s Teaching which is common&uncontroversial regardless of personal views, sects and traditions within Buddhism.
MEMBERSHIP
＊GDIA is open to everyone who is willing to learn&utilize the essence of the Buddha’s Teaching as a basis of personal happiness.＊
Personal happiness consists of
betterment of material life,
mental development and progress,
improvement of the whole world and society.
ACTIVITIES
＊GDIA holds three Activity-Principles,namely,
Compassion for the reality of people’s suffering
Understanding of the reality of oneself&the society
Improvement of both personal life&the society
We believe any society can change when a certain number of people hold a will, courage and wisdom.
Here we declare, therefore, we will go along Buddhism as wisdom to reach the entire emancipation from suffering in personal life and whole society.
Compassion, Understanding and a Will for Social Improvement.
